Job Summary

The role of the Land Agent Associate is to assist with all aspects of land associated with the company’s property, mining operations, and business development, including without limitation, technical support for all land transactions, land records, document preparation, communication with company’s various departments, mining operations, business development needs and community involvement.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Land, Business Development, Environmental, Permitting, Engineering, Security, Gas Operations, and IT Departments.
  • Maintain company land records relating to company owned property, mining operations and business development.
  • Assist with property record title searches and drafting documents for land transactions.
  • Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of land records and dealings.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all the company’s stakeholders, including its various departments, staff, consultants, governmental agencies, community, property owners and business development partners.
  • Assist with monitoring and coordinating the use of company owned property.
  • Assist with coordinating and overseeing the maintenance and improvements of company owned property.
  • Assist with mine notification process, pre and post mining surveys and reporting processes required by the PA Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP)
  • Assist with negotiations of surface activities, subsidence, property purchases, property sales and business development projects.
  • Assist with monitoring subsidence including communicating timing with property owners and other third parties.
  • Assist with organizing subsidence repairs, water replacement and reporting of claims or damages related to mining activities.
  • Actively participate in company involved community action and events.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management staff.

Job Specific and/or Technical Skills Required

  • Requires an intermediate knowledge of mapping, permits, regulations and property records.
  • 0-2 years of related professional experience.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated
  • Eager to learn and complete tasks
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently
